| | Troop 414 Troop 414 is a unit in the Phoenix District of the Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC) of the Boy Scouts of America. Our chartered partner is Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd Houston, TX 77069. Troop Meetings are held an average of three times per month on Monday evenings at the Champion Forest Baptist Church Youth Center. The Troop camps once a month. Please join us as we continue our trek down the Scouting Trail. Our Troop Meetings are typically held on Monday evenings. Monday meetings seem to be ideal for scouts and parents with busy weekend schedules that include sports activities in addition to Scouting. The size of our troop allows the scout many opportunities to learn leadership skills, receive individual attention, and earn merit badges with the goal of achieving Eagle rank.
We have an active group of parent volunteers, many of whom are former scouts and are dedicated to helping our boys shape a program that is fun, rewarding, and meaningful. Fun . . . Tradition . . . Learning . . . Personal growth . . . Rank Advancement These are the core elements that define Troop 414. Whether it's: | camping, canoeing, hiking, pioneering, orienteering; |
 | attending summer camp where boys learn new skills and come home with the satisfaction of having earned merit badges and new skills; | | participating in a flag retirement ceremony at a campout where our boys reflect on the meaning and history behind the stars and stripes; or | | engaging in fun, tradition, learning, personal growth, and rank advancement. |
All these are part of the Scouting experience at Troop 414.
